Six stages, one system, one record.
Warehouse Processes
A warehouse is one continuous process, not six separate ones. What arrives has to be found, what is found has to be packed, what is packed has to be billed. Every step depends on the one before it having been recorded properly.
OSIRIS WMS covers all six stages in a single system, on the web and on PDA. Three of them have a page of their own below. The others are covered by the product today and will follow.
01 · One record
Why one system rather than six
Every stage of a warehouse produces the information the next one needs. A reception that is not recorded against the right client leaves stock nobody can pick. A pick that is not tracked leaves a pack nobody can verify. A pack that is not counted leaves an invoice nobody can defend.
These are one system rather than six tools. The same record follows an item from the moment it arrives to the moment it is billed, and it makes the last stage, invoicing, possible at all: the quantities come from what the warehouse actually did rather than from a spreadsheet assembled at month end.
It also means multi-client separation is not something you maintain by hand. Stock, orders and billing stay attached to the client they belong to at every stage, which is the whole reason a 3PL can run several brands in one building.
The stages below are the ones that make up that record. Picking, packing and invoicing have pages of their own. Supplying, inventory and returns are part of the product today and are documented with the rest of the system.
